Unigraphics has changed much Since I last used it I would need re-training, or perhaps a new design Disipline, Catia ect. Work Experience: 2001-present Koppy Corp. Die designer of automotive Transfer and Progressive stamping dies. Using AutoCAD 2004 Design work entails Transmission parts, shock tower, front lower control arm, rear lower control arm, Automotive frame brackets, laser welded blank dies, rails and fingers. All work detailed 100% complete. 2000-2001 International Design Corp. Die designer of automotive transfer stamping dies. Inner body panels. Using Unigraphics designed common shoes, draw & trim dies. 1999-2000 M & H Precision, Inc. Leader and Die Designer of heavy metal progressive stamping dies, for the Automotive and trucking industry. Roll form, flare & pierce cut off dies. With some weld fixture design as well. Using AutoCAD 14 & 2000, All work detailed 100% complete. Other duty’s include working along with The company owners, sales, shop foreman and customers to keep operations running smoothly. Receiving wire frame’s or solid models of parts from Customers to develop out and into strip layouts for customer approval. Checking and follow up of outsourced designs. Accomplishments include: Finding and correcting mistakes in outsourced designs before they hit the shop floor. Meeting target hours on designs. Reorganizing design Room and improving efficiency. Improving overall design quality Improving shop & Eng. Dept. relations. 1995-1999 Ladco International Limited Leader and Die Designer of lamination dies for the electric motor industry Also bearing retainer dies (automotive transmission) Sliding intake valve (washer dies) for automotive shock absorbers, transmission clutch plate dies & Control discs. All progressive dies. With the exception of a few compound dies, All designs are AutoCAD and 100% detail complete. Duties also include working with the company owners, Quality manager, sales, shop foreman, machinists, die makers, outsourced sub die details and oversee die tryout & debug. And of course most important the customers. Accomplishments include: Meeting target hours on designs. Reorganizing design room and improving efficiency. Improving overall design quality. Improving shop & Eng. Dept. relations. Living up to and exceeding the expectations of the customers. Ladco is among Michigan’s top three high precision die shops. Who specialize In high yield high speed carbide progressive dies. Dies which run upwards of 400 strokes per minute and perform millions of hits before requiring major Overhaul. This is the place where I became fine tuned in tolerancing. A good memory that I think back to: We had just picked up a new out of state Customer who produces bearings. (inner and outer retainer stampings) which Have high tolerances on lip heights +-.002 in. I was told by the customer to expect a lot of tryout time on these dies due to the high tolerancing. And many punch and or die changes to get desired part. After the 3rd die in tryout which ran flawless with out any punch and or die changes, (with customers present) I was asked if I would like to relocate to there State! 1994-1995 International Design Corp. Die designer of automotive transfer stamping dies. (cast construction) All design work done manually on vertical drawing board. Left to pursue AutoCAD Design. 1993-1994 Schallar Tool and Die. Manual die designer of progressive dies which stamped out extrusions for Chrysler. These die designs were 100% detail complete. 1992-1993 Gonzalaz Design Engineering Die designer of large progressive cast dies. Automotive door hinges and latches. All design work done manually on vertical drawing board. These designs were 100% detail complete. 1987-1992 International Design Corp. My start in die design working with my father Stewart Lange, retired from Pontiac Motors. Die detailer into light layout and designer of automotive transfer stamping dies. All design work done manually on vertical drawing Board. A time in my life I shall forever cherish. 1978-1987 Clearr Ind.
