Company Investment Wan Chi steel pipe（Qinhuangdao）Co., Ltd. is a wholly foreign owned enterprise and is invested by Taiwan Wan Chi Group that was established in 1969. It was the first enterprise in China having the ability to produce API-5L “Large Diameter SAW pipe”; its daily output is 800 tons. Wan Chi is the largest supplier of LSAW in Taiwan and has worldwide distribution. Planned total investment of mainland Wan Chi is USD78 millions with the coverage of 500 acres. The first investment is about USD29.5 millions and land covers 222 acres，the LSAW steel pipe fabricating company is now putting into production. The 3LPE coating company and High frequency pipe bending company is now under construction this year. 2. Company Location Wan Chi steel pipe (Qinhuangdao) Co., Ltd. was founded on April 9, 2002. It is located in the National Economic & Technological development Zone of Qinhuangdao City. To the south is the downtown Shanhaiguan and with Bohai sea gulf in the north. It is served by Jing-Shen railway, Jing-Ha railway, Jing-Shen highway and Qinhuangdao port. The plant premises are equipped with special railways making transportation very convenient and cost effective. Qinhuangdao Port: About 15km to the southwest of our company locates the Qinhuangdao Port, which is the second largest all-around port in China and the largest Energy export port in the world. Its annual throughput is about 90 million tons and over 100 countries have built cooperation system with Qinhuangdao. Also Qinhuangdao Port is equipped with advanced yard for container, foodstuff, and chandlery. Shanhaiguan Ship Wharf: It is about 2.5km to our company. Shanhaiguan Ship Wharf owns 7 berths, special railway of about 2000 meters. Daily shipment up to 2000 tons, discharge about 80 train wagons. The storage capacity is about 200 thousand tons. 3. Products of our company We are specialized in LSAW steel pipe fabricating, and they are mainly used for: 1) Petrochemicals: For the Crude oil, petrochemical raw material & products transmission and the pipelines in the oil fields. 2) Natural Gas: Onshore & Offshore long pipeline; Gas station transportation; pipelines in the gas fields and cities. 3) Coals: For the transportation of coal and damp coal etc. 4) Structural Pipe: piles of wharf; structural pipes for bridges and tall buildings; offshore flat. 5) Others: water transportation, offshore suction & drain pipeline 4. Material resources Our head office has been working on LSAW pipe fabricating since 1982. With 20 years rich experiences and reputation, we have built favorable relationships with steel plate suppliers all around the world. We can purchase materials from: International suppliers like Marubeni-Itotch, NSC, NKK, KSC, POSCO, LNM Group, Corus Group etc. National Suppliers like Shanghai Bao Steel Corporation, Wuhan steel company, Wuyang Steel company, Anshan steel company. 6. International Quality Assurance Our head office has been awarded with the API 5L & ISO certificates in 1992 and 1995. On March 12, 2004 we Wan Chi steel Pipe (Qinhuangdao) Co., ltd. has also passed the auditing of API & ISO. Not only the QA department is responsible for the product quality, but also, TGRC of CNPC has come to an agreement with our company to be responsible for all the pipe inspection and to give the final quality report.
