Besides the many years of experience I have designing , checking and processing stamping dies I also have experience designing transfer automation, checking fixtures, welding fixtures, panel development and panel layout. I have experience with Autocad, Ideas and Unigraphics design software, many years of manual design and a bachelor of arts degree. Types of stamping dies designed would include: Blank dies Draw dies: stretch (single and double pads) and toggle Trim and pierce dies (with and without die mounted and/or aerial cams) Flange dies (single and double pads with and without die mounted and/or aerial cams) Re-strike dies (single and double pads with and without die mounted and/or aerial cams) Progressive dies Running in: Crossbar transfer and tri-axis transfer presses Straight side column presses (many dies fitting both transfer and column presses to accommodate both production and alternate press lines) with pick and place or iron hand transfer units gap and knee presses Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or would like to arrange an interview. Made engineering changes on various dies. Designed and detailed transfer fingers for material handling. All panels were G.M. major and intermediate sized body panels. Delta Engineering 6/88 - 6/92 Designer - Designed, detailed and stock-listed blank, draw, trim and pierce, flange, re-strike and progressive stamping dies. Made engineering changes on various dies. Designed and detailed transfer fingers for material handling. All panels (with the exception of the progressive dies) were G.M. major and intermediate sized body panels. Arrowsmith Tool & Die 6/92 - 6/95 Designer/ Checker/Design Leader - Designed, detailed, stock-listed and checked progressive, draw, trim and pierce, cam trim and pierce, flange and re-strike dies. As Design leader I allocated and directed the die designs in-house and oversaw the designs that were placed in outside design shops. I also worked with our customers and the die makers in order to complete the design and build of the tools to the customers satisfaction. All panels (with the exception of the prog. Dies) were Chrysler, G.M. and Mercedes-Benz major and intermediate sized body panels. McDonough Engineering 6/95 - 1/00 Designer/Checker - Designed, detailed, stock-listed and checked draw, trim and pierce, cam trim and pierce, flange and re-strike stamping dies. Made engineering changes on various dies. Designed, detailed and checked transfer mechanisms for material handling. All panels were Ford major and intermediate sized body panels.(manual and Ideas) International Design Corporation 1/00 - 1/02 Designer/Checker - designed, detailed and checked draw, trim and pierce, cam trim and pierce flange and re-strike dies. Made engineering changes on various dies. All panels were G.M., Chrysler and Ford major and intermediate sized body panels. (Unigraphics) J & S Industries 1/02 - 1/04 Designer/Checker/Processor - Processed, designed, detailed, stock-listed and checked draw, trim and pierce, flange and re-strike stamping dies. Made engineering changes on various dies. All panels were G.M. and Chrysler major and intermediate sized body panels. (Unigraphics) True Industries 1/04 - 6/06 Designer/Processor - Processed, designed, detailed and stock-listed draw, trim and pierce, cam trim and pierce, flange, cam flange and re-strike stamping dies.
