When viewing the drawing sheets, components on the drawings calling out aircraft coordinate values for hinges, latches, and alignment pins must be jigged such that those coordinate values are maintained at final assembly. I will supply you with PDF files of the engineering drawings and CATIA V4 models. I will need your ftp site information to send you the models. As soon as I have that information I will place the technical data on your site. Your task is to design and fabricate assembly jigs that will hold and locate laminates and hardware details in proper relationship for mechanical assembly. The laminates shall be fixtured to the tool side using contour and/or unique features that will assure correct relationship between the laminate and hardware installation with respect to engineering drawing datums and the aircraft coordinate values (STA, WL, & BL) called out for hinges, latches, and alignment details. Assembly jig locating detail tolerance shall be ≤ 1/3 of engineering drawing tolerance. Assume two or more ? inch diameter tooling tabs will be provided at the layup mold level to maintain coordination through molding, trimming and drilling, and mechanical assembly.
