Inquiry (采购产品): Pricing Assistance Request I am a Contract Negotiator located at Tinker AFB, OK. We are in the process of trying to purchase 27 Ea Indicator Housings from the OEM. (NSN 6680-01-037-0357 RK, P/N 476-132-001.) The Housing Assembly is used for NHA 6680-01-406-7779 RK (Indicator). It is used on one of our aircraft and is a "shell" or "can" which slides over the indicator's internal working parts and is hermetically sealed to the instrument. This protects the instrument from moisture/humidity and insures there will be no foreign object instusion into the instrument. The dimensions of the housing assembly are 3.235" diameter by 4.5" length. The predominant material is aluminum alloy. If it wouldn't be too inconvenient, since I'm not familiar with this type of work, I have a couple of questions. If you want to decline to answer them, I'd understand, but your assistance certainly would be appreciated. First, does your company do this type of work? Secondly, are there any factors that have occurred in the last couple of years that have caused a significant increase in producing/buying aluminum alloy? And third, what would you expect to pay for a similar housing; or what would be your charge to produce this type of item? I wish I could provide the drawings to purchase this item competitively, but the OEM has refused to release the specs. I will keep any information you provide confidential and I appreciate any insight you may be able to offer.
