This would be a battery operated wall clock, made of plastic or similar material, roughly 12" in diameter (standard width). If would make a specific, pre-recorded digital sound... voice clips, actually, with the turn of each hour - similar to the "bird" clocks I've seen, that make a different bird sound every hour.
