Inquiry (采购产品): Embossing Die I am on a student team at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. We are manufacturing a product that has an embossed metal plate on the top of it (http://www.rpi.edu/~lindht/AML/paper%20holder.jpg ). The disc will be 2” in diameter. Thickness is arbitrary. We want a thickness that is easily stamped, but is thick enough so that the embossment does not get dented. The material is also arbitrary, although we were leaning towards aluminum because of its cost and it is softer. We have a 150 ton hydraulic press that we will be using to emboss the disc. Could you please send me some information on this process, some recommendations for material and thicknesses, and an estimate on the cost of the die.
