Inquiry (采购产品): BALLS FOR PEACE Dear Sirs, I am writing you in the hope that your company may wish to involve itself with a worthwhile cause. No matter a person's or company's political affiliation, I truly believe we Americans have a duty and obligation to stand by and support our troops on the line. My wife and I have our only son serving in the US Marines. At present he is serving his first deployment to Iraq with the 1 Marine Division, 1 LAR (Light Armored Reconnaissance) and are based at Rawar, a city of some 30,000 NW or Iraq. We have been sending gift packages to Jason's unit both for himself and to his men. A couple of weeks ago we included a couple of soccer balls thinking the men might like to use them during their down times. As it turned out, the men felt inclined to give them to the more than 300 children who mob the Marines every time they leave the base. The guys couldn't believe the enthusiasm displayed by the children when handed the balls. Jason's subsequent message to us thanking us for the package said that if they had enough balls to hand out they could win over the young people without any trouble at all. Hence the reason for my writing you. Would your company like to join us in this venture of bringing some semblance of life, fun and hope back into the lives of these poor innocents? All we are asking for is a donation of a quantity of soccer balls. If you are interested we would very much like to hear from you. Not many of us have the opportunity to partake in a worthwhile cause for bringing peace to a small corner of the world - won't you please join us. Thank you for your time.
