Inquiry (采购产品): Oil Leak Sensors Dear Sir A collaborative research project between PETROPRODUCCION (the production arm of PETROECUADOR, the Ecuadorian national oil company) and King’s College London is developing in Ecuador. It wants to develop tools and techniques for the prioritization of infrastructure (especially pipeline) maintenance against leakage and thus environmental contamination. The work is based in the Auca fields on the Ecuadorian Amazon. These fields are critically important in economic terms for Ecuador but are also upstream of extremely environmentally sensitive areas. Much of the former Texaco infrastructure is now more than 30 years old and corrosion is a significant problem. Maintenance of the Auca main pipeline is costly, not least because production has to cease for periods when the line is down. It is the purpose of this project to develop tools for the prioritization of pipeline maintenance by simulating the potential dispersion and impact of pipeline leaks along the Auca main pipeline which lies upstream of the internationally important Yasuni National Park. By prioritizing maintenance and monitoring in those areas where (a) leak are likely and (b) leaks would have serious environmental consequences, the limited resources available for maintenance can be most efficiently applied to minimize loss of production and minimize environmental contamination. For the above objective, PETROPRODUCCION wants to buy and install a oil leak detection system on each oil pipeline of the Auca oil field. (about 60 pipelines) The system would be with pressure,and/or mass sensors in each pipeline, alarms and a sofware for a quickly and accurate determination of leak location using an expansion wave, propagation time technique. The main feature of this system would be the location of the exactly point of an oil leak in order to have a fast response. Leak location is needed to be determined within minutes of detection at both ends of the pipeline so a contingency group would go to the leak place and block the hole of the pipeline (We do not want to shutt down the oil well neither any other valve of the system while hole in the pipeline is blockedor covered) If you have these kind of devices and if you any question and are interested in make an offer to PETROPRODUCCION please send information and contact: Eng.
