Inquiry (采购产品): mercury waste disposal A client has a D009 mercury waste stream that he wants to dispose of. It is a sulfur impregnated carbon (SIC) material that contains mercury at concentrations up to 5 wt %. The mercury is present mainly as mercuric sulfide (HgS) and possibly some as mercurous sulfide (Hg2S), oxides, and chlorides. It comes from an offgas treatment section of an incineration process. The waste material is dry granular solids and will be shipped in 55 gal drums. It is classed as D009 high mercury (>260 mg Hg/kg) with organics and/or D009 low mercury (<260 mg Hg/kg) with organics, depending upon the mercury content. The maximum quantity of mercury to be disposed of is ~ 1150 pounds. Can you accept both, or either, these high and low mercury wastes for treatment and disposal? If you can process these materials what would be the estimated costs? If you can’t accept these wastes could you recommend someone that may? Thanks in advance for your reply.
