Inquiry (采购产品): Use of THWN wire I am inquiring on the use of THWN wire 14 gauge to be used as a tracer wire in an exterior buried application. There will be no power applied except for a signal when the wire is used for tracing a buried plastic pipe. Is solid or stranded wire a better choice? Maximum length is about 250 feet, 1.5 to 2 feet below grade next to building. Trying to comply with International Fuel Code section 404.14.3. Tracer wire to be nlt 18AWG yellow insulated copper tracer wire suitable for direct burial. Will the insulation deteriorate over time? Is there a better choice? Desired is a colored cover - what colors are available? Is there a local rep in the NW Chicago area?
