tool dipping? Inquiry (采购产品): tool dipping? Dear Rubber and Plastics Company: I am a physical therapist and ergonomic consultant in the Seattle, Washington area. I found your website through Thomasnet.com, with the search words "dip coating". One of my clients uses primarily wooden-handled tools (such as rakes and shovels) in an outdoor environment. The equipment is used by a variety of workers. This client is interested in obtaining a piece of equipment that would allow them to "dip" their wooden handles in some sort of machine that would then provide a rubberized coating to the handles. The purpose would be to decrease the slipperiness of the handles, thus decreasing the grip forces needed by the workers. This client has tried various types of gloves and add-on tape wraps as well as aluminum and plastic handles, but none of these are effective, for various reasons. (Examples: the aluminum and plastic handled tools are not sturdy enough for commercial use and break easily; the tape is often put on without first removing all hand oils from the wooden handles and doesn't stay on; etc.) The tool dipping equipment would need to be able to coat the wooden handles (usually 1" to 1.5" in diameter) for a minimum of 3' in length, and preferable 4' in length. Does your company sell anything like what I'm describing? If not, do you know of a company that does? Thank you very much for your assistance.
