This duty in itself simple on the surface necessitated multiple steps; this could include referencing the code books to choose or to better choose the right codes; checking for the right entity to bill be it the individual, one of many insurance companies, choosing the correct type of billing form so that it would not be returned; following up on the bills; posting the monies received. She also did the preponderance of correspondence that accompanied the billing as well as the correspondence of the rest of the people in the office. Due to the fact that the office was extremely busy, the amount of billing was both extensive and frequently complicated.
