Inquiry (采购产品): MOSFET relay Dear Sirs/Madams, I, Mahesh Nagarajan,student of master of engineering, university of south australia, am doing a project on "smart switching transformer(3-phase,10kVA)".We are trying achieve better efficiency of the transformer.Here we are trying to add additional windings to the conventional tranformer windings either in series or parallel depending on the load current .A micro controller is to be used in order to sense the load current and operate the relays accordingly.A set of students experimented this technique on a 3kVA transformer, and they were nearly successful in achieving their results. They employed solid state relays for switching the additional windings.But studies and research on solid state relays have shown that they are not quite suitable for high power applications such as the 10kVA transformer application. My query to your good seleves is "Whether POWER MOSFETS can be used as a relay to switch the additional windings?"If yes, can they be uded for 3-phase applications?
