Inquiry (采购产品): Au barrel coating of 1-2 mm diam balls Hi. I'm a materials scientist and project manager here at Lawrence Livermore Lab. I inherited a project in which the ultimate goal is to deposit 50 micron thick, strong, not too rough, Au-Cu films on ~1-2 mm diameter balls, where the balls have a hollow core and would float in the electroplating bath. As a first step we'd just like to see if a fully dense, decent gold coating can be put on these balls, irrespective of the strength and Cu composition. I and my associate would like to have a technical discussion with experts at your company on your gold barrel plating process and if you may be able to work with us with this effort. If the floating balls aren't possible with your current set-up, are solid balls (which sink) a possibility then? The balls are Ti-coated glass. If interested, please respond relatively soon.
