Project Inquiry (采购产品): Project Hello, I'm in the planning stages of a large scale architectural art project, researching materials. I'm completely open to working with your company to find a material for this purpose. Let me specify some needs of the material and the project and you can let me know your thoughts. Basically, the sculpture is a 1000-2000 foot "rainbow" that weaves through a building: A dimensional stripe of color that originates as an arc in an outdoor front courtyard and then snakes it's way through 2-3 floors of the building, then exits the building, closing the arc shape in the back courtyard. The stripe has the appearance of being continuous, though actually it is installed in pieces (to appear as if it goes through walls etc). I would need solid rods of material about 1.5 inches in diameter in 7 different colors. These colored tubes would be banded together to span a distance of 1000- 2000 feet. Banded all together, the seven rods would make about a 10 inch diameter multicolored bar that spanned the 1000-2000 feet trajectory. It is also possible to cast the 7- colored stripe as a single piece. The material could be produced and delivered in sections, as long as the sections could be adhered to create the illusion of a continuous line of multicolored bar. The multicolored bar would need to be forged into curves and bends at some points. In terms of the 7 colors-I would want the brightest possible colors: i.e. red, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, and bright white or clear. I would like the material to reflect/project/ collect/ disperse light..... glow. Because part of the sculpture will be in high light areas, and part in low light, maybe particles of light may be transported through the material from one place to another? Or the material might collect light when its avialble and emit when it isn't? It is possible to include light sources other thta ambient or sunlight (i.e LED and electronic components) Aside from fiber-optic, I had also thought about PMMA infused with phosphorescence. The material would need to have indoor/outdoor permanence and low maintenance needs. Please let me know if you think some material you make could suit these needs and then we could talk about budget and getting some material/ color samples etc. I can also send you pdfs. and jpgs of mock-ups next week. Look forward to hearing from you. The budget for the entire project is $120,000 (including all fabrication and install), so the material budget is variable within that.
