Material Specification For Fluorosilicone with Shore A Durom Inquiry (采购产品): Material Specification For Fluorosilicone with Shore A Durometer of 25 Attn: Brian Burkitt appreciate any sample and/or information on a fluorosilicone elastomer that is Jet fuel resistant and has shore A hardness of 25. The regular one inch thick, 3 inch outer diameter, 1 inch internal diameter silicone antennae spacer in the vertical tail of a hornet imbibes jet fuel A and swells and disintegrates. The material is to have same the physical properties as AMS-R-25988 (formerly MIL-R-25988 Class 1, Type 2), except use hardness, Shore-A-durometer of 25 +5,-10. AMS-R-25988, does not appear to include anything softer than Shore A 40. i.e. Resistant to oil and fuel. Grade 25, durometer hardness of 25 +5/ -10. Stays flexible at temperatures as low as -65 degrees F. Minimal volume change Does well in high vibration environment. Material to be available in .312, .50, .625 and 1.00 inch thickness. Material maximum height and width dims are 3.45 X 3.45 inches. Any further ideas are welcome, including a fuel resistant coating or film that can coat or adhere to the silicone and withstand 100g forces without unbond and potential foreign object in the vertical tail of the F/A-18 E/F Hornets. Thank you.
