Inquiry (采购产品): casting an oil pan Hi my name is Ken Rempillo and I am engineering major at CSULB. This year, my group and I are doing our senior design project on manufacturing methods and doing cost analysis to have parts cast. The scenario that we put ourselves in is; if we generated our own drawings of an oil pan for an engine and created a rapid prototype of it. What do you need from us have the pan made? Would you want it in AutoCAD, solid works, etc. format? Using your 319 or 356 aluminum how much would it be to produce 1000 units (ball park figure)? What methods would be use to manufacture this part? Labor cost, material or any other cost that my group should consider? Please I am hoping that you can help me with this information. Not only would it help in our project but it would also give a better insight on manufacturing methods from a prestigious manufacturing company like yours.
