Box 34546 Houston, TX 77234 Dear Sir or Madam: Do you ever have a need for extra help in the areas of simple assembly, disassembly, salvaging, labeling, tagging, packaging, shrink-wrapping, bagging, mail-outs, shredding, or any other simple tasks? If so, please consider using the services of The Richmond Workshop. The Richmond Workshop is located in Richmond, just Southwest of Sugar Land, on the campus of Richmond State School. The school is a residential facility, home to approximately 500 persons, challenged mentally and physically from Fort Bend, Harris, and eight surrounding counties. The on campus work program proudly employs 300 of the residents per day. We work Monday through Friday, six hours per day. The school has two sheltered workshops on campus with one staff for every five clients. This ratio ensures excellent quality control on all work we produce. Companies currently using our services find it a very positive experience, as well as an economically sound decision. It frees your skilled employee’s from doing simple, but very time consuming tasks and you will also find our fees are often less than the cost of hiring temporary employees. The employees of the workshops are paid on a per piece rate. As Assistant Contract Procurement Officer, I am challenged to locate simple work that can be completed by our residents in the workshops on campus. We have a cargo van and a box truck (6-skid capacity) with a lift, a forklift, and adequate storage facilities for management of materials, plus a full time driver for transportation. The campus also has twenty-four hour manned security. RECENT CONTRACTS WE HAVE COMPLETED INCLUDE: Assembly of nuts on bolts- 60,000 per month Assembly of fishing line leaders- 500 plus per week Stuffing and labeling envelopes- 55,000 – 100,000 Bagging hardware kits- as ordered (smallest order 50 – largest order 300,000) Capping bottles- 25,000 – 30,000 per month Emptying seedling pots for recycling- 60,000 per month Labeling fuel packets- 25,000 per month We would like to work for you.
