Inquiry (采购产品): KUKA valves for submarine applications Hi, we are constructing an multibuoy maritime terminal for oil charge and discharge to and from vessels. This includes submarine hoses finishing in a ball valve , full port bore, stainless steel KUKA brand, model CFA 15 DGGS, whit a enclosed worm gear operator mounted on top. The problem is that this valve will be submerged all the time (pacific ocean) until the string used on oil transference is lifted by the vessel, and be connected to the vessel manifold. when the valve and his actuator be placed under sea the body's valve will be non affected by rust, but the worm gear mechanism can be affected by corrosion. the concrete action that we can to do is to replace the enclosed worm gear operator by an blind flange, which will be opened after the string is on the vessel deck, and the ball valve be actuated by an lever manually operated. is the correct way or you can suggest other action? please, we need a quick answer because we have not time to decide it. best regards Cristian Guevara V.
