Inquiry (采购产品): Drilling a hole with laser beam Hello, I have a unique minor problem. I have been working on a working reproduction of a 17th century wheellock pistol for the past year. Because of the barrel's thiness I had tennons (little pieces of metal) welded to the barrel so that cross pins could be used to fasten the barrel to the stock. There two of these pices welded to the barrel that are a little more than 1/8 " thick. I did not realize that welding these pieces to the barrel would make the metal in the tennons so hard that it is almost impossible to drill the holes through them. I succeede in drilling a hole through the rear tennon with a tungston carbide drill. I got 1/2 the way through on the front tennon when the drill shattered. I must have used too much pressure. Could the hole be cut the rest of the way through using a laser? Dob you do this type of work?
