Inquiry (采购产品): RF Balanced Transmission Line Gentlemen, I am a consulting engineer and have a new high potential RF transmission production project that requires balanced transmission line. The transmission line needs to be a balanced shielded line - Hi Voltage - and a Zo of 200 to 350 ohms. Since RF balanced shielded lines are not presently manufactured to these Zo values and Hi Voltage breakdown, we would be interested in making the cable from your standard insulated wire. The present cable (no longer manufactured) we have for the test models is a 300 ohm balanced shielded transmission line. The conductors are ~~ 22 ga and the insulation is foam poly at a OD of around .154" - this overall cable pair is shielded. The overall width of present pair with insulation jacket/shield is approx .373" We will add the shields and jacket. If your company has existing balanced cable - let us know. 1) We need to know what insulated standard cables are available that are high voltage ~~ 5KV or best you have that generally falls in the above OD dimensions of .373"? 3 amps approximately at this time would be satisfactory. 2) The cable will NOT be used in an RF matched condition. A very high VSWR will exist. Since it is not matched - a high voltage will exist between the balanced pair of lines. 3) Question - Do you have the insulated center conductor only available that is used in any of your cables? i.e. do you have the basic inner conductor with insulation - without the shield and jacket that is approximately near the dimensions in 1) above? Please provide a suggested list of potential insulated wire with electrical characteristics that could be used for the RF balanced transmission line. As mentioned above, it need not be a custom wire for the initial production - since we will build up the balanced cable from your existing single wires. ===Brief cable usage info================================================================================== It will be used with a transmitter --- but the cable pairs are used in an unconventional manner in that it is part of a circuit to provide the necessary electrical characteristics to perform properly. The shielded cable pairs balanced transmission line will not be used in a RF load matched condition. Very VSWR will exist and will present high voltages along its length. RF frequencies are 50 Mhz and on down. The low power model will be around 100 watts. We will also be building a 500 watt and 1 KW versions. Consider 3 amps RMS approximately for max current requirements for now. Consider up to 5KV RMS Our cable runs are short for each unit - Qty (3) 8' cable pair lengths for each unit. It takes about 24' total cable pairs per/unit or 48' of the above individual wires. We will slip the braid over the wire pairs since we only have to do 8' sections for now. Later - as production increases, we would consider having the shielded balanced cables custom made.
