Inquiry (采购产品): plastic screw machine parts We are designing a pair of small screw machine parts, 1" OD and 2" long, which together will make a stem extension for a ball valve. Service is at 325F. We would like to make the parts of plastic in order to avoid transmitting the heat to the handle. Stress is very low (perhaps 2000 psi) but parts must not distort at that load and pressure. Can you suggest a suitable bar stock? Perhaps a glass filled polyamide?
