RFQ request Inquiry (采购产品): RFQ request I am looking for a thermal switch for the following requirement: For estimating purposes only. Annual quantitiy is 80,000. Quote prototype & production piece price, tooling and leadtime. Start of Production 7/05. 1) End application: Full size, premium recreational/utility ATV for one adult operator. The thermal switch will be used to turn the electric fan on and off at operating points described below. 2) Projected life of 16,100 km (10,000 mi). 3) The Thermal switch will be located in the radiator inlet tank. The thermal switch shall turn the fan on when the temperature of the coolant out of the engine rises to 93.3 deg C +/- 2 deg C (200 deg F). The thermal switch shall turn the fan off when the temperature of the coolant out of the engine drops to 87.7 deg C +/- 1 deg C (190 deg F). 4) The thermal switch shall be of submersible construction. Fan operation while submerged in water is critical. 5) In-rush current during locked rotor condition must not exceed 200% of normal operating current. 6) All engine subsystems within this family shall pass the Powertrain engine durability specification 3047. The testing shall include operation at maximum power, maximum torque, rapid changes from high speed to low speed with no load and continual slow changing of engine speed. Dynamometer endurance cycle testing shall be determined by the Engine Program Manager and approved by the ATV Engine Integration Engineer. 7) All engine subsystems in this family shall pass a 100 hour durability test on the dynamometer at wide open throttle with engine speed limited by the rev limiter. 8) The maximum current draw for the fan at 14 volts DC shall be 20 amps with a 50% duty cycle. 9) The fan motor and electrical wiring shall withstand 30 seconds at locked rotor current. 10) All electrical connectors shall be of submersible construction. 11) An idle to overheat test shall be performed. 12) A WOT steady state cruise test shall be performed. 13) Minimum ambient temperature: -31.7 degrees C (-25 deg F) 14) Maximum ambient temperature: 48.9 degrees C (120 deg F) 15) Humidity: 0 – 100%, saturation (rain) and submersion up to waterline (top frame). 16) Elevation: 0 – 3048 m (0 – 10,000 feet) 17) Engine shall not lose its primary functions when subjected to rain, ice, snow, desert, dusty air, tall grass, mud and other typical off road conditions. 18) External components shall not lose primary functions when subjected to gasoline (87 -91 octane) with or without 10% ethanol, ethylene glycol, DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid or engine oil (ex: 0W-40) 19) Shall withstand vehicle impact loading of 6G’s vertical acceleration, 6G’s longitudinal acceleration and 2G’s lateral acceleration. 20) Thermal switch must operate under all combinations of 30 degree front, rear and side incline angles for sustained running. In addition 65 degrees front incline indefinitely. Along with the quote, provide the following: 1) Provide CAD model or print of the thermal switch assembly. 2) State all assumptions made. **** Hidden Message ***** Randy Frank 1500 DeKoven Ave. Racine, WI 53403 USA Company: Modine Mfg.
