internal floating roofs Inquiry (采购产品): internal floating roofs To Mr. Jim Mansour: We are looking to replace old fiberglass/urethane floating roofs on 2 hi purity water condensate storage tanks of 40' diameter (with fixed roofs)each, at a nuclear power plant in California. Delivery would be 2nd quarter or later, 2007. If any metals are to be used in the new internal floating roofs, they must be stainless steel. Aluminum is not acceptable, for water chemistry reasons. Our goal is to absolutely minimize dissolved oxygen in the condensate, so we don't want any bubbles between the membrane and the water. Also, the internal floating roofs must be able to slide up and down around semicircular funnels (called plenums) installed on the inside wall of the tank. There are 4 of these protruberances, 3 half cylinders of 10" sch 40 pipe which project inward about 6" and one half cylinder of 18" XS pipe which project inward about 10". The half cylinders are about 7' high, mounted with their axes in the vertical direction. Given these plenums, and a few other nozzles projecting inward 2" or 3", the wiper seal on the perimeter may be discontinuous to accommodate them. Should you have any questions, please call/email me.
