Inventions Inquiry (采购产品): Inventions Dear Colleague: Two of my recent inventions should be of interest to your company. One of these inventions gives manufacturers of housewraps, construction insulation, and underlayments a distinct advantage in the marketplace. The other will gain a company initial penetration of the market for plastic mulches or greatly increase their current sales of plastic mulches. Below you will find an abstract of the disclosure of these two inventions. Provisional Patent Application No. 60/521532 Abstract of Disclosure Moisture often accumulates in the inner spaces of walls, ceilings, and floors of buildings which promotes mold development and insect infestation. Once molds and insects are established, it is difficult and expensive to control them and repair the damage. In this invention, natural and Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS) volatile compounds that are fungicidal, insecticidal, and insect repellant are incorporated into housewraps, construction insulation, and underlayments in a time-release and moisture-activated formulation to prevent mold development and insect infestation. Natural insecticidal and antimicrobial volatiles are released from these construction materials into the interior spaces of building wall, ceilings, floors, and crawl spaces where they prevent mold and insect damage when moisture conditions develop that favor the development of these pests. U. S. Provisional Patent Application No. 60/521397 Abstract of Disclosure The present invention imparts a natural mulch image and color to the surface of plastic mulches and geotextiles. Such images as natural shredded bark are imprinted and/or embossed on colored plastic mulch and geotextiles surfaces. Plastic mulches are generally covered with natural mulch materials that often shift exposing the plastic surfaces. This invention eliminates the unsightliness resulting from this phenomenon. Use of plastic mulches and geotextiles with natural mulch colors and images reduces the amount of natural mulch required to cover the plastic mulch or geotextile underlayment resulting in reduced cost and reduced weed reinfestation.
