Specifications for Molybdenum –Rhenium (50/50) foils 1 Sheet Thickness A] 50 Microns B] 25 Microns C]100 Microns D]150 Microns 2 Temper Deep draw temper for drawing and forming 3 Straightness Materials should be straight, smooth, flat and free from kinks, bends, twists or curls. 4 Tolerance +1% in thickness +2% in length or breadth 5 Bend Test The foil must show no evidence of fracture or lamination in either longitudinal or transverse direction when subjected to following bend tests 1) 180 degree Bend(1T) 2) 90 degree bend and back(2T) Note: a. T indicates sheet thickness b. Testing is done at room temperature c. Typical test piece 6mm x 50 mm 6 Surface Quality Surface shall have uniform bright finish 7 Tensile properties Foil shall have a minimum elongation in the longitudinal and transverse direction of 4% 8 Chemical composition Re 47.5-50.5% Mo-Remaining Other elements like Pt,Pd,Rh,Au,Ag,Pb,Mg,Al,Si,Fe,Cu,Ni,Ca,Ru etc should not be more than 25 ppm each Total other elements including organic impurities ,PPM 500 max General Specifications: 1. A test certificate shall be supplied for each lot. The certificate shall state the chemical analysis, Physical &mechanical properties of the material. 2.
