Inquiry (采购产品): Quality Hi! My name is Mikhail Chernyak. I bought linear bearings (Thomson model A81420/SS) and linear bearing quick shafts from Grainger. I was happy that I can finally finish my invention I was working on. Unfortunatly I was quite dissapointed when I found out that these linear bearings don't work at all in vertical position. When I applied small side load, bearings were sticking to the shafts and didn't slide at all. In the Grainger catalog there is no information that these particular bearings can't work in the vertical position. In my past engineering experience with the linear bearings I never had problem to use them in any application: horisontal or vertical. I suspect that problem with these model is poor design or poor workmanship, unless I used bearings in wrong application(vertical). I am gessing that it is poor workmanship, because when I tried to push bearings in their housing, I had to apply quite a force to move them. My understanding that precision balls should slide easy in the closed loop(housing). Of course, I could be wrong in my analyses, but with 40+ years of engineering experience I thought my information might be usful. I hope on your quick response to my problem. Sincerely, Mikhail P.S.
