Inquiry (采购产品): Audio Intercom for Trucking Gate applications We have an application where we need to place an Intercom (separate microphone and speaker) on Trucking Company inbound and outbound gates. The intercom needs to be mounted at approximately 11 feet high (which is the typical height of the driver in his sitting position in the trucks). The challenge is that the truck engines will remain running while the driver pulls up to the gate (keeping in mind that these are 18 wheelers with very loud diesel engines!!). We need an intercom that will deliver enough output from the speaker so that the driver can clearly hear the remote operator over the noise of his engine running and we need a microphone that will clearly hear the driver speak...again over the loud noise of the diesel engines running. The intercom will typically be situated about 4 to 6 feet away from the driver, so it needs to be hands free operation. There should be a push button (just a dry contact open or closure) for emergency purposes if the driver needs to reach over and push this button. We would also like a visible super bright LED that we would activate from our Video Transmission system (this will alert the driver that a connection is made to the monitoring center). These will be installed throughout the country, so the environments could be varied (i.e. very warm or very cold). Weather resistance is a must. We currently have these units custom made for us, but our supplier is a small company with quality issues and very long lead times. This unit has a noise cancelling circuit for the pre-amplified microphone and a 5 watt audio amp built in for the speaker.
