EMPLOYMENT HISTORY COPO EAGLE, Sterling Heights, Mi. 07/05 – Present Production Supervisor Facility produces automotive seating foam for a Tier 1 Organization. Started with Copo during their ramp-up period, and have been instrumental in suggesting and implementing line changes for faster through-put and better run at rates. I also made many suggestions for other improvements, such as a small laboratory to establish a baseline for their chemicals, enclosing and climate controlling Iso and Poly tanks along with their respective computer systems. My other responsibilities included supervising a crew of 45 line workers, and overseeing maintenance for any mechanical issues. I also did spot checks to ensure all parts conform to quality standards. Other responsibilities include maintaining downtime records, repair and scrap amount records, any line manning issues, and any all daily reports that are completed at shift end. I was also tasked with starting up a midnight shift, and ensuring all Training and Copo standards were being followed. Venture Industries, Fraser, Mi. 05/04 – 03/05 ASSEMBLY / PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR Facility produces Instrument Panels, and other modules for the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Started with Venture before production line was completed, did trouble shooting, foot printing, line Balancing, and helped time study and write procedures for off line assemblies that fed the main line. My direct responsibilities were the main I.P. line and all secondary assemblies, working in conjunction with a second production supervisor. These included a Genoptics Laser, Vibration Welding equipment, A Rotary table assembly that joined the upper and lower skins, and placed the top-pad airbag into position. Also set up and foot-printed Kit two and Kit three areas that produced kits to finish the I.P. according to Chrysler JIT broadcasts. Started S-1 production in July, 2004, Ramped up to V-1 production in August 2004, and went to full production September 2004. Took the line speed up from 30 I.P.s a day to over 600 a day on second shift. This presented many challenges in line balancing, line layout, software changes, and Quality control. Helped retrain crew in the numerous changes done to the line during the ramp-up and various production phases. Was instrumental in holding Venture Molding to production standards, and implementing 7D corrective actions in that department. I was required to follow and carry out a rigorous JIT daily production schedule, co-ordinating with Material Handling for all necessary parts and interfaced with Maintenance Dept. in the event of production line break downs. All employee issues, disciplinary actions, etc. were handled by conferring with Human Resources and coordinating with upper management to insure all Venture policies and procedures were being followed. Also interfaced with the Molding, and Shipping Departments to insure all the proper parts necessary to carry out the required daily runs were present. Participated in various Venture seminars, including Management skills evaluations, Hi-Lo safety training, Proper crane operations, and other Venture orientation and operational programs. Was also crossed trained on the Door panel line to cover in the event of supervision shortage. Speedway SSA, Rochester Hills, Mi. 03/03 – 12/03 STORE MANAGER Responsible for overall daily store operations including: Proper ordering and inventory control All cash controls and banking procedures All record keeping, and related daily sales reports. Proper plan-o-graming, all operational audits, and mystery shops. Staff scheduling, staff development including training, hiring and firing Physical appearance. Layout and cleanliness of facility both inside and out EXCEL TECHNICAL SERVICES, Auburn Hills, MI 01/00 - 08/02 MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR/PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR Contract Assignment: Assigned to Ford / VISTEON WILLOW RUN MODIFICATION CENTER (04/02 - 07/02) This temporary repair site was set up to resolve quality concerns and apply necessary fixes on a large pool of completed Ford Navigators and Expeditions and a collective effort between Engineering, Utica Trim and Chesterfield. I functioned as a Gate Keeper, teamed with a UAW inspector, supervising a staff of 18 UAW shift employees to ensure fixes are completed correctly. I maintained all crew payroll records for my shift as well as inventory and tool control. Set up floor to accommodate process flow. Assisted designated on-site Process Engineer to write process flow plans and work instructions. Fine tuned process as project was ramping up. Cross trained shift employees to accommodate absenteeism. Functioned as a liaison with Michigan Truck to ensure smooth vehicle flow and address any on site engineering issues on my shift. Was transferred initially from Chesterfield 1 to Chesterfield 2 in preparation for ramp up site. Learned Metals Unit procedures for U222/228 build ( seat frame build; first second and third rows). CHESTERFIELD 1 FACILITY (01/00 - 04/02) Facility produced foam and built seats for various Ford platforms including Lincoln, Navigator, Focus, etc. My primary responsibilities were to supervise, coordinate and monitor the daily efforts of 40 plus UAW employees to assure quality foam was produced on Line A afternoon shift. I was required to follow and carry out a rigorous daily production schedule, coordinating with Material Handling for all necessary parts and interfaced with Maintenance Dept. in the event of production line break downs. All employee issues, disciplinary actions, etc. were handled by conferring with Plant Union Reps and coordinating with Plant Labor Relations Reps to assure union contract was being properly enforced. Cross trained to run all lines at Chesterfield 1 facility. This included three foam lines (A, B, C), one Expedition seating build line and a Ford Focus seating build line. Have been called on numerous occasions to run multiple lines simultaneously, supervising up to 90 employees. Trained 14 employee crews in 15 months in accordance with union contract and Gen pool. Earned recognition for having the highest production rate with the lowest scrap and repair rates on Line A (afternoon shift) for over one year. Given the responsibility to start up and maintain midnight shift Line A. Participated in ISO 16949 Audits. Attended various Co. sponsored in house training seminars including ECLP training, Material handling safety, Chemical safety, Sharp Training ( Lean Manufacturing ) and PROFS. Fourslides, Inc., Madison Heights, MI 08/97 - 01/00 PRODUCTION MANAGER Co. produces small stamped parts for Ford, GM and Chrysler. I directly supervised all union hourly press operators, die setters and maintenance personnel. Functions included assuring proper production scheduling was followed utilizing master production schedule, assigning personnel to various presses, monitoring quality control by enforcing proper CPK, SPK charting and timely visual part inspections. Provided training to floor personnel on proper use of computerized feed equipment. Did hands on die setting and equipment programming as needed. Assisted organization in securing QS 9000 designation by implementing QS standards on production floor in 1997. I also functioned as a Shipping Analyst within the organization, and covered the MIS Administrators position upon resignation of previous administrator. Successfully installed two servers and networked 26 satelite PCs to comply with Y2K.
