The base of a foil should be transparent PET with 19mkm thickness. PET is covered with release layer, lacquer for embossing and then metallized with aluminum. The main determining feature of a foil we use is a grade of release. There are various release grades that can be expressed in letters or numbers, for example from 2 to 9. 2 means soft release and 9 - hard release grade. Do you have a test lab method and device to check a release grade? What level or grade of release could you provide? We need a hot stamping foil with the minimal level of release. The quality control of required release is made by a Scotch tape test.
