We are injection molders on Long Island and we have a core made from Bohler M261 precipitation-hardening steel.This material is suited for gas and bath nitriding treatments.The diameter of the pin is 3/4 " and the length is 8 1/2 " The top 3/4" of length is the molding area and is a mirror finish.This is the core pin used with a sleeve ejector.Can you nitride this pin without any bending? Would the mirror polished surface get dammaged? What is an estimated cost and best lead time?
