Inquiry (采购产品): Model 05041 ladder I just purchased an 11 inch gunwale hook, 4 step, aluminum Garelick boat ladder from Boater's World. However, I need to lower the top step 2 to 3 inches so it clears the gunwale. Is there any way I can do this? The step appears to fit into a clip, etc. in the aluminum tubing. If I can release the clip, I can lower the step and secure it in place with stainless steel hose clamps above and below the step. I have done this on a 3-step ladder where the steps came loose (not a Garelick ladder), and it has worked well for years. I purchased the new 4-step ladder to make entry into the boat easier.
