We are a supplier of small extruded products of various polymers to many different industries. Most of the small parts we make simply fall into a box at random, but we have a need for a very precise pick-and-place packaging machine and need some We are working toward a contract to supply rigid PTFE tube sections for pharmaceutical packaging. These are clear tubes approximately 5” long and .400” in diameter, with less than .020” wall thickness. The customer insists on receiving them in a cardboard container of their own design, which is a feed magazine for another packaging machine. The trays’ exterior dimensions are 19 1/8” by 23 ?”. The tubes must be neatly arranged in rows and columns with the open ends up, and there must be almost exactly 2465 pieces in each container. We can produce these parts at a rate of 400-500 per minute. We would eventually need two or three machines of this type to keep up with the demand for these parts.
