It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's Maximus WillHammer smash landing in his MX-311 Water Bullet at speeds over 100 mph into lakes and reservoirs around the world! 3 years to design, test, and build the experimental craft, it is the first and only one of it's type in the world designed to impact water at speeds ranging 100-700mph with a person inside. This stunt is only possible due to the complexity of the water bullet's design: Mechanical displacement absorbs the massive kinetic enery created from the impact through 2 separate suspension systems of 14 individual slide rails and special disk springs. 8 mini cannons blast over 400 rubber bullets into the water creating a hole and forward motion in the water. At the same time a 150 cubic ft, high pressure tank injects air through 2 octagon rings with located on lower nose, creating a tunnel of air to travel through similar to missles being launched from submarines. The nose is mounted on a safety capsule with 8 slide rails and about 1400 disc springs, it has 8 -12 guage 3 1/2 magnum mini cannons mounted on top. A spring-loaded switch located in the pipe tip extending beyond the nose activates the cannons and air system automatically creating the perfect timing. The safety capsule has 3 - 30 cubic feet air tanks to provide with breathing oxygen about 30 - 45 minutes worth underwater. The air is also used to fill up the air bags needed to help bring craft back to surface, also air tank for escape. Pumps to evacuate water from chamber, and valves to fill chamber in case of an emergency escape, door will not open unless inside is flooded. Clear material enclosing the safety capsule is bullet-resistant polycarbinate rated at 10,000 pounds per sq in siliconed and fastened with over 1000 rivets. Everything is about packaging - body rides in a free floating steel shell on a slide rail system compressed in condensed and self-inflating foam, the shell is molded to body even matching curviture of spine, there are 19: 3,000-6,000 lb. nylon compression straps supporting body in steel frame. A main air buoy shall separate upon impact staying on the water surface attached by steel cable to craft, at 33 feet air bags will inflate to resurface. There are lights on craft to be seen under water, communications, nose mounted camera system, multible display screens 1 being GPS navigational computer 2 connected to nose camera, 3 on board streaming digital camera's shall also be used to capture all elements. Wings on aircraft steer with use of compressed air rams attached to the steering assembly operates with use controls mounted on pilots steel protective shell. The craft operates just like an airplane, only straight down. 2 - stabilizer drag chutes mounted on top operate seperately, if needed will slow down to safer speeds but will still travel 80 - 160 mph. 1 standard aicraft chute in case of emergancy steering recovery failure.
