Inquiry (采购产品): Pressure Safety Valves - Snubbers Dear Sirs, We need snubbers for Pressure Safety Valve piping. 1. Design Data for Snubbers: a. Design Force (Reaction) is in the range of 200 to 1000 lbs. b. Displacement (Stroke) is in the range of 1" to 6" . 2. Mode of Operation: a. While Safety Valve opens rapidly and pipe is cold, snubber is expected to block, in order to overtake the reaction force induced by the Safety Valve. b. Shortly afterwards, the pipe becomes heated and is expected to expand freely. 3. Problem: we are concerned whether the snubber gets de-blocked fast enough in order to follow smoothly the thermal expansion of the pipe. 4. Questions: a. What is the time needed for de-blocking of the snubber? b. What is the minimum earthquake acceleration required to activate the snubber? Thank you for your prompt response.
