Inquiry (采购产品): plastic bag needs Makawao Elementary School in Hawaii currently has 80 children that do not get enough to eat over the weekends due to poverty. These children are fed through the reduced meal plan during the week, but go hungry over the weekends. They have been heard saying that their favorite thing about school is being able to eat. Regardless of the reasons that these families cannot provide for the children, we feel the children should not suffer. The Seabury Hall Seventh Graders have come up with a program called the Backpack Buddies for Makawao Kids. They are planning to send these children home with six meals worth of food each weekend. The food will be specifically for the children and will consist of foods that can be readily opened and don’t need much preparation. This program has been successful throughout the United States. In order for this program to work, we need your help. Each child receives their food in a plastic grocery bag and some of the foods are divided up into ziplock bags. The program runs for 40 weeks of the school year and we need 80 bags per weekend. This adds up to 3200 bags for the year. Each week students bring in bags, but we seem to have a perpetual shortage. The Seabury Hall Seventh Grade Class would greatly appreciate any donations of plastic grocery and zip lock bags to their program. The bags can be sent to: attn: Moka Brown, Seabury Hall, 480 Olinda Rd Makawao HI 96768.
