Inquiry (采购产品): canvas history? Dear Humphreys: I am an art historian in Washington, DC. I am aorry to bother you with a strange question, however, everyone in the art community seems to be stumped by a canvas I am researching. No one at the American Textile History Museum or the Textile Musuem has been able to identity it either. It is the support for a painting, which our client believes is from the late nineteenth century. I would like to email a few close-up jpegs of the canvas to you. I wonder if this is alright, and to whom I would send them? We wonder if it is one that you manufactured, and what its purpose may have been, since it doesn't look like most canvas used for fine art. We would appreciate any ideas you have on the canvas.
