Inquiry (采购产品): Apple Turret Jaw Stretch Cord Dear Sir/Madam: I am a design engineer for a company that manufactures / leases high volume apple processing machines. One of the components of the machine is a turret that transfers apples from the peeling section to the slicing section. We currently use three helical extention springs to provide a closing force for these jaws. I would like to replace three springs with one stretch cord per jaw pair. The springs currently attach with an eyelet on each end. The material must be food grade and the preferable color is blue. I figure the minimum working length and combined force (three springs) to be 4 lbs. @ 5.50 inches (measured at outer eyelet diameter) and 10 lbs. @ 7.00 inches (measured) at outer eyelet diameter. The spring rate for our existing springs is 1.25 lbs./in. I do not think that the loads are extremely critical, however, the stretch cord need to provide an initial load in the 4 to 10 lbs. range and should be easily installed by hand. The mechanical spring diameter is .625" with a free length of 3.25 inches the eylet diameter is .44" (I.D.). Do you have any elastic "stretch cord" product that I might use?
