price quote

Inquiry (采购产品): price quote Hello, It was great to visit your website and to find out about your services. There is a project I would like to get an approximate price quote from you for and find out if it is even financially possible to do what I am hoping to achieve. This may seem like a strange request to you, but I am wanting to build a musical instrument out of a coiled piece of metal tubing, and it seems like you would have the equipment and ability to assist me in this endeavor, but again, I am not sure if this will even be feasible from a cost perspective. Perhaps you have heard of the traditional Didgeridu that the Aboriginal people of Australia make from a termite hollowed tree branch. This would basically just be a metal version with the main difference being that in this case, the metal tube will be coiled like a more traditional instrument such as a trumpet, making a much more compact design. I have actually made a prototype from copper plumbing supplies (pipe and "elbow" fittings) so I know this will work, but unfortunately my design was rather klunky and the end result was fairly heavy. The issue I had with the one I built from copper was with the fittings being right angles, not "U" turns and it was aesthetically very unpleasant. For this new design I was hoping to use thinner walled tubing and I won't want the finished instrument to be shiny, I may even distress it with acid or ding it up a bit for some added character. As far as metals go, my first choice would be bronze, but would consider brass, copper, aluminum (even stainless steel) or whatever would work best for the bending process, but I would want the walls to be fairly thin, like what is used in other instrument designs such as saxophones, etc. The Didgeridu has no special reed or mouthpiece and has no finger holes or keys. In the wooden version there is usually a gob of beeswax applied to the mouthpiece end for added comfort but modern versions use rubber, etc. OK, Here are the particulars: Imagine a tube that is approx. 1.5 inches in diameter inside and about 5.5 feet long, the last 8 or 9 inches or so flaring out from the 1.5" to about 4''. Now take that straight tube and bend it (think of how a tuba or other brass wind instrument is "coiled") so that there are four 16.5 (approx) inch long sections ending with a 4" wide open bell (where the sound comes out) pointing up and the 1.5" opening (where it is blown into) at a right angle to that on the other side. To envision this, think of how a tuba is played, the bell points upwards and the mouthpiece is at a right angle to that, the instrument rests on the person's leg. In this case, the overall height of this didgeridu design will not allow me to rest it on my leg when playing, but that is not really necessary. I have also considered a design more like a coiled trumpet with the mouthpiece 180 degrees opposite the flared end (where the sound comes out) instead of the right angle to it as I first described. It is not necessary that this be a continuous tube. It could be made from sections of tubing put together with "U" turn elbows if necessary. I can solder these together if need be, but I am sure you are better at that than I am at this sort of thing. Also, the section of coiled tube should not touch one another, I want them to resonate as much as possible so there needs to be at least a small bit of space (.125") between sections that coil back along the same adjacent path. Please advise of the approximate cost of this project, if necessary, I can send a drawing for you to see before quoting, and I would be providing this before actual production of the piece. Let me know if you need me to provide more information prior to producing a quote. I look very forward to hearing from you. Thank You !
