web sew cinch and strap for umbrella hold-down Inquiry (采购产品): web sew cinch and strap for umbrella hold-down My name is Bob Adler and I am in charge of equipment for the Jones Beach Lifeguard Corps, Long Island, NY. We are an organization of approx. 480 lifeguards who are employed by New York State Parks & Recreation each summer. A consistent problem (this is my 32nd summer lifeguarding) has been tying down umbrellas on wing stands (portable ocean lifeguard "chairs" that are wooden and hold two lifeguards). I came up with a design that should work fairly well, saw your web site by Googling and hope you might come up with a price for my design. We would price it at 500 pieces initially, and probably order 50 additional pieces annually. Essentially: 6 foot of 3/4 inch flat webbing, with a side release 3/4 inch plastic buckle. Sew non-adjust section of the buckle to a web bitter end, with the other web bitter end going through the adjustable portion of the buckle. Sew, with a few bar-tacks, to create a loop approx. 20 inches (10" throat to grab) with the balance of the web able to be adjusted on the buckle. Sew a folded over stop on the bitter end to prevent accidental pass through of the buckle. (This explanation is provided so you can understand how this is to be used) The sewn loop will be used to form a cinch by doubling it over on itself, and stitched so it slides tight. The umbrella's wooden shaft will be inserted through the cinch and the shaft runs against the slatted front seat and extended down to the foot rest. The web strap is then run to the back of the slatted backrest, over and back of the top back rest slat towards the umbrella, the buckle is then clipped in and adjusted to cantilever the umbrella's shaft against the seat (toward the backrest, and pushing forward against the foot rest). The umbrella may be moved as is needed to follow the sun as it moves east to west throughout the day to provide shade as is needed. So, what I am looking for is a price for producing this. If you folks don't do this sort of thing, can you refer me to an outfit that does? If you give me a fax number I can fax a diagram that may be helpful.
