interest in high temp ceramics Inquiry (采购产品): interest in high temp ceramics Attention!! All High Temperature Ceramic manufacturers! Do your customers have problems with stability of your ceramics at high temperature? Does your customer’s budget only allow for lower quality ceramics? Are your delivery times scheduled after the Holidays? (Yes, Those Holidays) Let Schupp Surplus Ceramics (SSC) Help You! We have just recently purchased a very large supply of Pyrolytic Boron Nitride(PBN) crucibles, sheets, rings and holders from a very well known PBN manufacturer and we would like for you to distribute them to your most demanding customers! PBN is a high temperature ceramic, stable up to 2000o C in vacuum with very little outgassing, it lets your customers pure materials stay pure after high temp. treatment. Density 1.95-2.22 g/cc Thermal Conductivity ab = 60, c = 2; W/m oC Coefficient of thermal Expansion(1000 oC) ab = 2 x 10-6 mm/mm/oC Resistivity 1 x 1015 ohm-cm Outgassing Minimal Maximum Temperature suggested 2000oC Vac; 750oC Oxygen Do your customers have corrosive atmospheres? Pyrolytic Boron Nitride(PBN) is your Answer! The most corrosive atmosphere know in manufacturing is high temperature anhydrous HF. The formation of water as a byproduct allows Anhydrous HF to attack even the highest purity Alumina and Silica ceramics Al2O3(s) + 6HF(g) ---à 2AlF3(g) + 3H2O(g) SiO2(s) + 6HF(g) ---à H2SiF6(g) + 2H2O(g) PBN is resistant to anhydrous HF, even up to 1200oC!! If your PBN product fails for any reason*, even after high temperature HF exposure! I will replace it free of charge! I have personally used PBN as protective thermocouple tubing for fluoride crystal growth (Saint- Gobain and ACT Optics) and it is the ONLY material that resists the attack of anhydrous HF. *replacement based on corrosivity only, not due to breakage of material due to mishandling. Exposure must not exceed guidelines posted. What can PBN replace in the manufacturing environment? Silica and Alumina- PBN is resistive to acidic & caustic environments, and it’s an electrical insulator Graphite- PBN will not burn in an oxygen atmosphere, even up to 1000 C Silicon Carbide-Silica based materials are etched by anhydrous HF Metals-PBN does not oxidize at high temps like most metals, oxidized metals are more volatile Boron Nitride- PBN is denser than BN, less porosity, more resistant to acids, bases & oxidizers Schupp Surplus Ceramics has PBN in the shape, size and quantity you need! Conical bottom crucibles from 12mm max dia up to 60mm max dia Flat bottom crucibles from 25mm dia up to 200mm dia Boats, sheets, rings and plates of any dimension! All ready for immediate (like tomorrow) delivery! All at prices 50-60% less than PBN manufacturers!! Ask about our supply of pyrolytic Graphite and Tantalum Di-Boride pieces to!
