Request for Information for Emergency Tents Inquiry (采购产品): Request for Information for Emergency Tents REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Date: JULY 14, 2005 Request for information - Emergency Tent Purchases Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is requesting information to research purchasing tents for emergency planning in the event we need a several tents in the event of a major emergency. A typical scenario would be an emergency severe/significant enough that PSE would need temporary shelters to continue operations for several weeks as a temporary replacement for some of our existing facilities. Typical facilities we might need to find temporary replacement for would be business offices, warehouses, call center, dispatch centers, operating bases, etc., throughout the Puget Sound area (10 counties) and also in Kittitas County (Eastern Washington). Also we typically have one major storm recovery event each year in which we hire utility crews from outside Washington State. For storm recovery we need to provide areas to serve meals for all the crews, bring in extra materials that frequently stretch our existing facilities, etc. so we have had "special events" where enclosed tents would be very useful. The types of tents we anticipate would be needed (and not limited to) fully enclosed: Shelters for office/engineering personnel, meeting rooms, warehousing material and equipment, and possible overnight accommodations for PSE personnel and contract work crews, etc. PSE provides natural gas and electric power to over 1.7 million gas and electric customers throughout our service territory. In the event of a major emergency and our company looses use of any of our facilities may need to provide temporary facilities within a few hours. Hence your assistance in providing the following information will be extremely valuable for our emergency preparedness and planning. Suggest quoting from designs you have in your existing database. Hence the sizes below are not specific requirements and only for comparisons so suggest quoting as close to the size for your standard design. Please note this is a Request for Information and not a formal Request for Quotation. Only budgetary price estimates are expected and PSE would not use the prices provided as a base for any contractual agreement or purchase contract. At this time PSE is not requesting detailed or technical information so you can be very brief in your response. If you choose to provide pictures or simple drawings that would be appreciated but not required at this time. Since PSE does not source large tents as frequently as we purchase overhead wire this RFI is for basic information and a more detailed formal Request for Quotation would follow at a latter date.
