I have worked seven years as an engineer with a B.S. from Oklahoma State and an M.B.A. from the University of Kentucky. Here is a short cover letter and my resume. Thanks! I am a mechanical engineer with 7 years experience in the engineering world. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering technology from Oklahoma State University (issued in December of 1998). This program has a heavy emphasis on hydraulics, power generation and electronics. My farm background and my summer work experience at Charles Machine Works (Ditch Witch) have given me a good background in heavy equipment. My summer experience at Fluid Technologies Incorporated in Stillwater, Oklahoma also gave me a good background in hydraulic testing. I had worked as a design engineer for Lexair Incorporated for 6 years. They are a valve, compressor and machine tool manufacturer. Lexair manufactures a full line of hydraulic and pneumatic valves. These valves are of the lapped spool, packed spool, poppet, pinch, and sliding shoe configurations. They can be made from brass, bronze, aluminum and stainless steel. I managed custom valve projects from start to finish. After the customer specified the concept, I would create the valve in Solidworks, create the finished detail drawings, set up the suppliers and related BOMs (bill of materials), schedule the prototype development, test the prototype and then send the unit out for customer evaluation. Lexair used Made 2 Manage MRP software. I used the M2M system for BOM generation as well as inventory control. One of my last projects was to convert our drawing library into Adobe reader format and link it to M2M so everyone with access to the MRP software could view drawings. I also converted our drawing library from 2D Autocad into 3D Solidworks models and drawings. I have worked for the Big Ass Fan Company as a research and design engineer since March 2005. They manufacture a line of ceiling fans ranging from 8 to 24 foot in diameter. There I have learned CF Design as well as Cosmosworks FEA analysis. My position involves developing ideas into prototypes for research and development. I have also done extensive work in Photoworks and Animator for company sales work. The company has also invested in specialized equipment such as Dantec Dynamics 3D hot wire anemometry equipment for CFD and AMCA verification and certification.
