Inquiry (采购产品): Flame Hardening My name is Michelle Fitzgerald and am a Manufacturing Tech Analyst for The Boeing Company is Seattle Washington. We are gearing up to test our latest airplane, the 787 dream liner but have an issue with a flame hardened plate that is used when we test the landing gear. The plate in question is a very large plate. Engineering has not finished the drawing but are estimating it at approximately 64" x 82". From what I understand, because of the width, this will have to be done in two pieces. I am looking at finding a few suppliers that might be able to do this work. When we tested the 777 airplane, the two plates in question were 2.25" thick x 24" wide x 60" long, AISI 1060, flame hardened to Rc 60 min. The finish thickness is 1.75". Last time the two plates were pinned together to obtain a 48" width. On 787 airplane, the main landing gear loads are expected to be higher than on the 777 therefore requiring a larger plate. The 64" x 82" is not set in stone and engineering said they could possible adjust the size depending on the capabilities of the supplier. Would this be something your company may be able to handle? **** Hidden Message ***** Michelle Fitzgerald PO Box 3707 M/C 0P-FA Seattle, WA 98124-2207 USA Company: The Boeing Company Title: Manufacturing Tech Analyst Phone: 425-294-5335 Fax: 425-266-5474 E-mail: michelle.l.fitzgerald@boeing.com **** Hidden Message ***** michelle.l.fitzgerald@boeing.com
