Seeking Permanent Position

Inquiry (采购产品): Seeking Permanent Position Charles A. Carbone 25228 Ward Taylor, Michigan 48180 (313) 295-3875 With over thirty-six years in the Tooling Industry, I believe I have a great deal to offer in the areas of Tool and Die, including engineering, estimating for both tooling and production piece price as well as supervision and managment. I have set up cost reduction programs for die set up, die maintenance, and die try-out that have greatly increased productivity. These programs drastically improved quality problems as well as on time delivery. My experience also includes the design and build of progressive and line dies, gage and fixture work, and a good deal of die repair. As you will see in my "Work Experience", I have been involved with packages where the tooling alone was in excess of fifteen million dollars. This tooling included progressive and line dies as well as the necessary gages and fixtures. One thing not on my current resume that demonstrates my ability to "multi-task" and handle many differant areas in the tool and die trade is the fact that I spent nearly a year as an Integration Engineer at General Motors Metal Fabrication Division. As an Integration Engineers, it was our responsibility to follow the progress on large programs and keep proper records in the areas of design, formability, die construction, die try-out and final press assignment. I have a great deal of "hands on" experience in the areas mentioned above as well as the management abilty to oversee them. I am looking for permanent employment where my experience and abilities may be best utilized. Work History 2003 - 2005 AZ Automotive Centerline, MI Proposal Engineer Responsibilities included processing and quoting medium to large progressive and line dies. Line dies were both mechanical and robotic transfer dies, As part of the estimating department, some of our projects included large assembly packages including complete dash assemblies, floor pans, front and rear cradles and suspension modules for both Chrysler and GM. The dies costs alone on some of these packages were in excess of 15 million dollars. 1989 - 2002 Quickdraw Design and Engineering Taylor, MI General Manager Responsible for quoting, designing and building progressive and line dies, general machining, prodiuction scheduling and customer relations. I was also in charge of stamping operations. I handled all new die try-out projects as well as tooling and quality issues. 1987 - 1988 Budd Stamping Detroit, MI Die Try-Out Follow-up Supervisor - Contract Work Oversee the building and try-out of dies to produce large, Class A Body Panels in various shops, including Autodie and several other shops in Grand Rapids and Cameron Tool in Lansing. 1985 - 1987 Metal Work, Inc. Detroit, MI Engineering and Tooling Manager I started as a Tool and Diemaker and was quickly promoted to Die Room Foreman. As Die Room Foreman, I was responsible for the building of all new progressive and line dies, gages and fixtures. I was then promoted to the position of Engineering and Tooling Manager. I was in charge of not only the Die Room but the Engineering Dept. as well. It was my job to approve die designs and to review current company tooling procedures. I developed and taught the diemakers proper "in-press" repair procedures and set up die maintenance and die set up programs which saved the company a great deal of time and money. 1981 - -1984 Matthew Industries Plymouth, MI General Manager As General Manager, my responsibilities included quoting, designing, and building progressive and line dies. I also worked as a tool and die maker, die leader, die repair leader, and die room foreman. I was responsible for all engineering projects and engineering changes on tools to accomodate part modification. 1979 - 1981 Vicount Industries Novi, MI Die Room Foreman As Die Room Foreman, it was my responsibility to oversee the Die Leaders, Diemakers, and Die Repairman. I also worked as a Die Leader as time permitted. I was also involved with most of the die try out operation. 1976 - 1979 Ford Motor Co.
