Inquiry (采购产品): material Hi scott I am looking for a material to pass these specs.The flam requirement is FAR 25.823(a) and Appendix F Part I(a)(1)(ii). This test is a 12 second vertical burn with the requirements that the sample must have a burn length shorter than 8 inches, self-extinguish within 15 seconds after the 12 second ignition, and any drips must self-extinguish within 5 seconds. The test is applicable to the final state of the part – including any finishes. A UL rating is not sufficient for showing compliance to the FARs. It may help in selecting materials, however, there is not a direct correlation between UL rating and passing 12 second vertical. Please call me with any questions.
