I am looking for a tool to make beads to ends of tube with nominal OD’s of 1/4”, 5/16”, 3/8” & 1/2” per the standard definded in the subject of this message. We are using automotive steel tube per SAE 1008/1010 with 0.020” to 0.028” wall thickness. Attached you’ll find the SAE J2044 standard so you can see the requirements for this. Is there any tool available in the market? Should it be custom manufactured? Is there any special machine required for it? Thanks in advance for your help.
