Please Provide the Following information: o Business Size _______________ o Federal Tax ID# ______________________ o Duns # ____________________ o Cage Code # ______________ o Do you accept VISA? ____ YES ___ NO o Estimate Delivery Date: ___________________ Scope of Work / Specifications: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS CABLE REEL FOR 15-TON TRASH RAKE GANTRY CRANE 1.0 Intent The following specifications pertain to the purchase of one cable reel set for Little Goose lock and dam’s 15-ton trash rake gantry crane. 2.0 System Requirements 2.1 General The cable reel must be rated to deliver 480 Volts, 3 phase, 60 Hz, 75 amp to the crane. They must lay down and retrieve 280 ft. of cable off the roadway deck as the crane travels North and South. The roller guides must allow for the cable to be payed out in two directions. The maximum speed of the crane is 80 fpm. Spring motors should be contained in disposable cartridges for safe replacement. Tension adjustment should be in such a location as to not have to disconnect the cable or disassemble the reel. There should be a hub, or something mechanically similar, which prevents back winding of the spring motor if the cable gets free of its termination point. The center height of the reel will be 8 ft from the ground The cable must be #4, 600 V minimum, type W, with 3 conductors plus a ground. It must be long enough to lay down 280 ft., account for the height to the reel, and the number of wraps required to keep the cable on the reel when it is fully extended. The cable must be installed on the reel; a receptacle plug is not required. The installation required on sight will be completed by the Corp. Submittals will be sent to the POC: Lisa Huston 1001 Little Goose Dam Road Dayton, WA 99328 509-399-2233 X277 lisa.a.huston@usace.army.mil 4.0 Warranty The reels shall be covered by a minimum one-year warranty on all parts, labor, and workmanship from factory defects. 5.0 Shipment and Delivery The contractor shall be responsible for packing the components in a manner that will ensure undamaged and complete arrival to Little Goose Lock and Dam. No shipments are allowed other than normal business hours of Monday-Thursday 6:30AM-5PM. One set consisting of reel, cable, limit switch and roller guide shall be delivered to: Little Goose Lock and Dam Powerhouse Attn: Lisa Huston 1001 Little Goose Dam Road Dayton, WA 99362-9753 6.0 Operation and Maintenance Manuals Four complete copies of the Operation and Maintenance Manual will be required. The manuals shall include instructions on the installation, operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and warranty of the systems. They shall also include diagrams listing all system components, part numbers, and a list of recommended spare parts. Also included shall be the name, phone and fax numbers, and email address of the contractor, manufacturer, and a distributor where spare parts can be purchased.
