Career opportunities Inquiry (采购产品): Career opportunities Dear Sir/Madam: I am looking for a technical sales or process engineering career opportunity where I can apply my passion for trouble shooting, solving technical problems and working with a team of dedicated professionals. Here are some example projects that I have managed: - During a Hazard and Operability study (HAZOP) in an Aluminum Sulfate factory, I saved the factory $0.5 million budgeted for treating their waste water. I redesigned their raw water system to isolate their process water from other uses and recycled their waste water (without treatment) back to the process. - I coordinated the waste water project of the whole Petrochemical Complex in Moron City. It challenged my analytical skills because of the complexity (waste water coming from 13 different plants, which were using 9 different petrochemical processes) and because it was the first time that I handled such a large budget on my own. This project made me study, in detail, all of the process. The most operationally correct resolution, which I ultimately recommended, was the most difficult to implement due to the need to sell the concept to the management of the company, and to other engineers in the several plants involved. My solution involved introducing acid waste water from a nearly explosives complex into the waste water coming from the urea plant, as well as introducing an acid atmospheric emission (CO2) from the urea plant. Finally, I reintroduced the waste water into the fertilizer plant as their primary source of water, thus recycling the waste water and reducing this plant need for fresh water in the process. This solution not only eliminated the E.P.A. violation, it further saved the company a lot of money. - My MS Thesis provided the only scientific data available by far, and the explanation of what factors control the physical chemical composition of the hydroelectric power system waters on the Caroni River. One of the hydroelectric plants, know as Represa del Guri, generates over half of the electric power consume in Venezuela. This project was part of a world project:"Transport of Carbon and Minerals in Large Rivers", sponsored by United Nations (UNESCO). This thesis was presented at the 37th Annual Convention of the Venezuelan Association of Advanced Science in Maracaibo, Venezuela; November 22th to 27th, 1987. I colected water samples at different depths between the surface and about 400 feets in four different stations for 12 months, performed site assessments and monitoring reports. I recorded data, compared findings to other relevant studies, prepared conclusions and wrote comments for technical reports. I analized 22 physical chemical parameters, some on site on some in a lab. - I worked for Ansimag sales department and had the pleasure of seeing its sales grow from $10 million in 1996 to $50 million in 2000 when the company was sold to the Fortune 500 corporation, Sundstand. It was a wonderfull educational experience for me. I participated in recruiting and training 20 new distributors and supported their sales efforts in 22 countries.
